Data Deletion Instructions

We respect your right to control your personal data. If you wish to delete your account and personal information from Circles, please follow the instructions below.

Delete Your Account Through the App

This is the recommended method for account deletion:

  1. Open the Circles app on your device
  2. Go to your Profile by tapping your profile picture
  3. Tap the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top right corner
  4. Scroll down and select "Privacy & Security"
  5. Tap "Delete Account"
  6. Review the information about what will be deleted
  7. Enter your password to confirm
  8. Tap "Delete My Account" to permanently delete your account

⚠️ Important Information

  • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • All your posts, photos, and personal information will be deleted
  • Your username will become available for others to use
  • You will lose access to all your circles and connections
  • Any premium features or subscriptions will be cancelled

Alternative: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app or encounter issues with the in-app deletion process, you can request account deletion by emailing us:

Subject Line: Account Deletion Request

Include in your message:

  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your username (if you remember it)
  • Reason for deletion (optional)
  • Confirmation that you understand the deletion is permanent

What Happens After Deletion

Once your account deletion is processed:

  • Immediate: Your profile and content become inaccessible to other users
  • Within 30 days: Your personal information is permanently deleted from our active systems
  • Within 90 days: All data is removed from backup systems
  • Legal compliance: Some information may be retained for legal obligations, safety, or fraud prevention as required by law

Data We Cannot Delete

Please note that we may retain certain information even after account deletion if required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Transaction records for financial compliance
  • Safety-related information to prevent harm
  • Information needed for legal proceedings
  • Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you

Reactivation

Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered or reactivated. If you want to use Circles again, you will need to create a new account with a new email address.
