Connect FavCircles to Claude

FavCircles is a private, trust-based recommendation network. You save your favorite places into "circles" (curated collections like Date Night or Coffee), connect with people you know, and discover places through your network instead of anonymous internet reviews.

The FavCircles connector lets Claude work with your circles directly: search your saved places, get recommendations from your friends, organize new finds into circles, and keep up with what your network is sharing — all in conversation.

What you need

  • A free FavCircles account. Sign up in the Circles iOS app or at favcircles.com.
  • A Claude account (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, or Claude mobile apps).

How to connect

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and find FavCircles in the directory (or add it as a custom connector with the server URL https://mcp.favcircles.com/mcp).
  2. Click Connect. You'll be taken to the FavCircles sign-in page.
  3. Sign in with your email and password, or with Google or Facebook.
  4. Approve the connection. You're done — ask Claude about your circles.

Note: accounts created with Sign in with Apple can't link through the web sign-in page yet. If you signed up with Apple, set a password in the Circles app first, then connect with email and password.

What Claude can do with FavCircles

Your favorites

  • List your circles and the places in them
  • Search your saved places by name, category, or circle
  • Create and edit circles, save new places, and manage your trash

Your network

  • Get recommendations from your connections — network-wide or near a location
  • See a friend's shared circles and find favorites you have in common
  • Catch up on suggestions and recent activity from your network
  • Find people, send and respond to connection requests
  • Post a place suggestion to your connections

Discovery

  • Search the community-wide place database to find and save new places

Permissions and safety

  • Claude only sees what your account can see: your own circles, circles shared with your network, and the community place database. Privacy levels (public, my network, private) are enforced by the FavCircles servers exactly as in the app.
  • Read actions (listing, searching, recommendations) run without confirmation. Actions that change data — creating circles, deleting places, posting suggestions, sending connection requests — are marked so Claude asks before performing them.
  • Deleting a circle or place moves it to trash, where it can be restored. Permanent deletion is a separate, explicit action.

Disconnecting

Remove the FavCircles connector in Claude's settings at any time. This revokes Claude's access; your FavCircles account and data are unaffected.

Privacy

The connector uses the same FavCircles account and data practices described in our Privacy Policy. FavCircles receives only the requests Claude makes on your behalf; we don't receive or store your Claude conversations.
